Why Kirkland Signature became a cult ball

Kirkland Signature made its name by putting a cast urethane cover — the material that defines a tour ball — into a box that costs a fraction of the majors. Golfers noticed, and the ball has had a loyal following in the UK ever since.

Buying it used takes an already cheap performance ball and makes it cheaper again, which is why Kirkland is one of the fastest-moving lines in the vault.

How our golf ball grading works

Every ball that comes into the vault is washed, inspected under light and hand-sorted into one of three grades, so you always know exactly what is arriving.

Pearl grade balls look and play like new — no visible blemishes, no player marks and a clean cover. Grade A balls are excellent playable balls that may carry a small pen mark, a player logo or very light cosmetic wear. Grade B balls are honest practice and course balls with more visible cosmetic wear, sold at our lowest price per ball.

Grading is cosmetic, not performance based. A Pearl or Grade A ball flies, spins and feels the same as the day it left the factory, because the core and cover are unaffected by a short spell in the rough or a water hazard.

Why buy recycled golf balls?

A brand new dozen tour balls can cost upwards of £50. The same model, professionally recovered and graded, costs a fraction of that — which means you can play the ball the pros play without flinching every time you take on a carry over water.

It is also the greener choice. Millions of golf balls are lost in the UK every year and take centuries to break down. Recovering, cleaning and re-playing them keeps them out of lakes and landfill.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Kirkland golf ball any good?
It uses a urethane cover and multi-layer construction similar to premium tour balls, giving noticeably more greenside spin than a typical surlyn distance ball.
Are Kirkland golf balls hard to find in the UK?
They sell out quickly in retail. We list them whenever stock is recovered and graded, so check the page or request a ball and we will let you know when they land.
